I promised myself that I wouldn’t write a think piece on this, but here I am writing a think piece on this.

I think Darius Daulton Jackson has been adequately dragged for his insensitive tweets about his girlfriend Keke Palmer. I think one thing we can all agree on is that as the “man of the house” he should have taken up his misdirected grievance (because it was never about what she was wearing but about dancing with Usher, but I digress) privately with his so-called “wife” and “representation.”

What really prompted me to write this though was the surfacing of the Jonah Hill text messages — excuse me, “boundaries” — he sent to his now ex-girlfriend Sarah Brady.

Two instances of people trying to control their partners in one week? I gotta address this.

Firstly and ironically, the very attributes that attracted these men to their partners are the very things with which they have taken issue. Was not Darius attracted to Keke Palmer’s physical appearance and fun-loving personality? Didn’t Jonah Hill…
